I will be moving to Toronto in the month of September and need advice on the accommodation. I am looking for a short term stay as I’ll be travelling to India from November to February. Is airbnb the only option? If so, Which areas are affordable and safe to stay at?

@slayer39 AirBnb is not the only option, but may be a good one especially for the first few days in Canada. You can check the rent on AirBnb, they vary depending on your requirements as well as region. Look for ‘superhosts’ on AirBnb, they are generally well recognised, with good reviews and safe to stay with.
Note that rent has skyrocketed recently due to monetary policy! Choose the cheapest and most convenient option for now (always keep an eye out for red-flags, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is).
