My partner and I are applying for PR as common law partners from USA. We got the invitation to apply and our checklist includes a form IMM 5409. We are not sure who will be an appropriate Notary in the US to attest it. A regular public notary who notarized our IDs said it does not fall under their jurisdiction. Who should we search for attesting the Form?
Ask your local banks usually they have someone authorized to do it.
The banks did not even notarize our IDs, we had to go to another notary. Is there a specific type of Notary who can sign this?
