Going from Work Visa to PR

  1. I have work visa of CANADA but have never used it ,will it be help in applying a PR.Currently I am in USA on L1 VISA.

  2. One of the FAQ in this site I read we need to be in CANADA to get the PR card ,how long does it takes to receive the PR cards it not possible to receive the card on USA address as I am working in US with family.

I’m less familiar with work visa’s is this is an “open work permit”?

In the Express Entry PR process an “offer of employment” will get you many more points which is a very good thing. However a “work permit” by itself does not give you any points.
