Out of status in USA - please help

Hi, I was out of status in USA for few months. My express entry application along with my husband who is the primary applicant has been accepted and we were invited to apply for pr. How do I explain my out of status time period in my application? Please help

Explain the reason for your situation in a letter and if you need addition documents like an affidavit or something to corroborate your story, submit those.Additional supporting documents are always helpful!
