I am in Michigan, US. I have to go to USCIS for biometric. I got an appointment 2 weeks in future. I have heard USCIS doeant need any appointment. Can anybody share any experience?
Appointment is a must. You will be sent back in absence of it.

Which field office did you go?
I tried an ASC in NJ ahead of appointment date & was promptly sent back. You can give it a try - depends on the employees at the the centre.

Same here. Went to the Raleigh ASC for walk-in. They said appointment is a requirement now.
When went to UCIS, they asked me for request letter not appointment but I showed it any way. It took 1 min to complete the process.
Same at Boston office too…
