Is it possible to bring a couple house plants with me from the US to Canada? I have a couple plants I have had for 25+ years that I’d rather not part with.

Following this thread, as I have a few plants to take when I move as well. Some forums suggested that you can take upto 50 houseplants (there’s a specific list of permitted/non-permitted plants) while others suggested that you have to completely wash the plant roots to remove any soil. Would love to hear any first hand experience transporting plants.

My friends drove to Ottawa from the US 2 months back. They brought about 10-15 plants of mine back to me and no questions were asked at the border. Hugs to you fellow plant moms and dads
