I paid off my car loan 2 weeks back and DCU(Credit Union where I took the loan) guys sent me the car original title and a letter stating my loan has been paid off.
Yesterday I went to DPS in Houston to get the NEW car title without DCU name in it and they said I have to send the original title and letter sent by DCU to Tax Collector office to get a new title or to remove DCU name in it.
Is that information correct? or The documents I received are enough for the car export to Canada?
