I am thinking of driving with my car from US to Canada when i move. Will the US car insurance cover me until I get a Canadian insurance? Or I need to purchase insurance before I move to Canada.
Your US car insurance will be valid as long as you have the US driver license / registration. I spoke to Geico (my insurer) and got a confirmation from them about this. Contact your insurer and ask how long your car can be in Canada with this insurance. YMMV.

Thats perfect since I too have Geico and registration is valid till next year.
