Date on Marriage certificate different from actual Marriage date

Hello,

Just noticed that the date when the marriage certificate was issued is different than the actual date of Marriage.

My marriage certificate is issued in India, and only has one date at the end of page which lists the date when we got the marriage registered (and it is different than the actual date of marriage that I have filled in my profile).

Hope that is fine? Has anyone else seen something similar for Marriage certificates issued in India?

No where in the certificate, does it mention the actual date of marriage.

Actually the date will be manually entered by the registrar… It will be like ‘x got married to y on so and so date’. So x, y and the date will be blanks to be filled by the registrar. Check it out once

My marriage certificate, issued in 2008 in India, says X got married to Y.
But does not list the marriage solemnization date.

The date mentioned at the bottom of the certificate is the date on which we went to the registrar office to get the marriage registered.

I have so far used my actual marriage date everywhere (in US visa, etc). just wondering if anyone from India has faced similar issue earlier and what action they took for EE profile ?
