Delay in Document Submission After ITA

Hello

I’ve recently received my ITA for Canadian PR & I’m now in the process of submitting my documents. However; I am facing a delay in obtaining a few required documents, including my police clearance certificate and some medical records. :upside_down_face:

While I understand that I should submit the documents as soon as possible; I am unsure whether this delay could impact my overall application timeline or result in rejection. :innocent:

Can anyone share their experience or advice on how to handle such delays in document submission? Should I notify IRCC about the delay, or is it better to wait until all documents are available? Also, is there any flexibility in the document submission deadlines, or is it strictly enforced? Checked Post ITA - Community Java guide for reference but still need advice .

I would really appreciate any guidance from others who may have faced similar situations during the post-ITA process.

Thank you ! :slightly_smiling_face:

This is why it is generally recommended to get all your documents ready before submitting the EOI, as per https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/should-i-collect-my-application-documents-before-ita.727436/#post-9314980 with the two exceptions possibly being the police clearance certificate for where you are currently living and the employment reference letter for the job you are currently working.

You might not have too much choice here, as per https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/should-i-accept-ita-even-if-i-am-missing-documents.392344/#post-4887935 and Canada ITA Process [ Info-graphics ] | Canada Visa Process the recommendation is to decline the ITA and work on getting the docs so you will have them ready in time for the next ITA.
