Hello, I just moved to Toronto, Ontario. I moved from Melbourne in Australia where I had a drivers license for 3+ years. However, the license expired in September 2021. I didn’t renew when I was in Australia because I had no car. But now I just moved to Toronto and need one.
I have a driver abstract from the state of Victoria in Australia. I understand, from reading elsewhere, that Ontario accepts expired licenses less than 1 year old, which my license qualifies.
However, I don’t have the license anymore. (I threw it out when it expired.) But, I have a PDF copy of the front and back. And of course, I have the official abstract. Can I still use this to get a license in Ontario, full G, before the 1 year is up (September 2022)? I would hate to do the entire licensing graduation system.
