Great news 2 weeks work processing for certain skills.
As of June 12, 2017, some high-skilled foreign nationals applying from outside Canada will be eligible for two-week processing. Most of the members of this forum will fall under NOC skill type A which is required so you will be eligible. The only other requirement for eligibility is a job offer. Traditionally Canadian companies did not hire directly from over seas as work visa processing took too long. This is a big step towards changing that. I knew two people from the US who are coming to work in Toronto under these new rules.
Once you are here you are free to immediately start filing for your PR. Which is almost certain since you will now have extra points due to the Canadian job.
