H1B/EAD living in Canada

Hi Everyone,

A bit background - I received my PR card in Dec 2020. I expect my US EAD card to come in next 5-6 months.
I still intend to maintain Canada PR - and would like to eventually convert into citizenship down the line. I am aware that I can’t fulfill the citizenship requirement, but I still have a chance to maintain the PR and extend it further.

Is there anyone who is working from Canada for a US employer on H1B or EAD? If so, I’d like to ask a couple of follow up questions:

  1. Is there any implication on H1B or EAD status?
  2. Are you traveling back and forth between Canada and US?

Has anyone gone through that?

anyone in similar situation?

I have a friend who does that. Doesn’t affect his H1B status and he does travel once a week or so. Been alright for him so far.
