Hi
I am planning to get my car to canada when I move. I haven’t declared my Car in the GTF list on my first landing. Will i have to pay duty on the car? Or can I get it duty free?
Please advice.
Thanks

Hey…
You may need to pay duty on your car if it wasn’t declared in the GTF list during your initial landing. However, you might be eligible for duty-free import under certain conditions, such as if you meet the requirements for transferring your car under a personal exemption.
any idea if we have to pay tax on current value or purchased value of car …
my car is made in japan. so I know i have gst and import tax … but regarding the on what price I am not sure ,
