I recently got approved for my work permit in Canada. This is a intra company transfer and is a LMIA exempt position.
How do I know if this is a closed or open work permit?
In the future if I plan to switch, how difficult is it for me?
ICT is a closed WP and tied to your employer.
Generally, it is quite difficult to switch with a closed WP because the new employer needs to file for LMIA and then a work permit which is a lengthy process. Companies like Amazon, Shopify other big companies do have this process though.
