My company lawyer is working on my and my spouse’s work permits. My kid is a US citizen, to my surprise, the lawyer said he will not need any Canadian visa to come to the US with us, he just needs a US passport and birth certificate that we are his parents on the border. Is it true that US citizen who is coming as dependent does not need a Canadian visa to cross the border?
I think that is allowed only for 6months…
Canadian citizen can go to USA for upto 6months of tourism without any visa…
I guess, same should be for USA citizen going to Canada for tourism…
But your lawyer is expert… please refer to other official entity or expert for final decision…
Did your US born son ( citizen) need a visa to cross the border? We are moving next month with my son who is a US citizen and me and my husband have a PR. Will my son need any document to enter? He is 2.5 years old.
