PCC and FBI report- Validity

Hi,

Can anyone please let me know how long this PCC and FBI reports are valid for ?

Suppose I obtain the PCC today and receive ITA 6 months later, are they still valid ?

I am not entirely sure but I think the India PCC validity is 6 months and the FBI report validity is 1 year.

I will second @mrandmrs. FBI report is valid for 1 year.

Hi all,

Trying to find out if I should start collecting any of the post-ITA documents right away- I have just booked by IELTS :slight_smile:
Could you tell me how long each of these is valid and how much time it roughly takes to get them? It would be of great help to many people starting the PR process. Someone I know said it took him 6 months to get FBI clearance.

  1. FBI police verification - can non-US citizens/ non-GC holders do it online at https://www.edo.cjis.gov/#/ ?
  2. India police clearance certificate

You can apply for the PCC when you are close to submitting your EE profile. Currently Indian PCC in the US is taking approximately 15 days to a month. FBI PCC is apparently faster.
