Pcc from India validity

Hi All,

I am an Indian citizen and got my PCC from India in the month of June. After this I travelled to US in July and have been here since then. I haven’t received my ITA yet but hoping to receive it soon. My question here is, does my travel and stay in the US impact the validity of my Indian PCC or would I need to get another one from the Indian Consulate in the US?

Our online system will ask for a police certificate for:

  • you and your family members who are 18 years or older
  • and
  • every country you (or a family member) stayed in during the last 10 years for 6 months or more in a row

The official information from CIC means your Indian PCC will be valid.

You should apply for the US police clearance from FBI because it’s likely you will have stayed here for 6 months or more by the time you get the ITA.
