PR Card via Mail from Canada to US

Is it safe for some one from canada to send my PR card to US via mail??

Ask them to send it via a package tracking service like FedEx with overnight/next day shipping. Also pay for the signature required option so that the cards get delivered safely.

Thanks for the response @mrandmrs , I had my friend mail it to me via Canada Post (2 day shipping)and it took 15 days for me to receive, with 10 days struck at US customs.
