Just out of curiosity, when does the residency requirement (2 years minimum out of 5) take effect? The date they issued your PR visa stamp, your initial landing in Canada, or the date they issued your actual PR card?

It starts on the date you land in Canada to claim your landing confirmation. This is also the time you provide a local address for them to mail the PR cards too.
