Soft Landing - Medical Validity

Hi All,

COPR received via EE. It’s for a family of 3 including a 5-year-old. We are planning to do a soft landing in the next 8 weeks time and return but for some personal reason, we can’t take our daughter during soft landing. Our Medicals expire in Nov and there is a high possibility that we may not reenter Canada before Nov. How does this play out. What happens if the Minor’s medical expires before she actually lands. Can someone here please help me out?

I am not entirely sure but I would assume that everyone, including minors would need to do at least a soft landing before the medicals expire. You might want to reach out to IRCC using the webform and getting a confirmation for the same. See if they are able to extend the date for your daughter.
