Submitting a second medical test

Hi everyone!

I received my ITA and only found out after doing my medical test that I would have one year as from then to land in Canada. I did my medical test on the 20th June 2018 which was directly submitted to the Canadian embassy on that day itself. I still have until the 12th September to submit my documents to validate the ITA. I am however planning to go to Canada not earlier than September 2019.

My question is: is it possible to take another medical test this coming week or will this be an issue with Canadian authorities?

If you are looking to move in September 2019, you could do a soft landing before June 2019 to activate your PR. You can also set up your SIN and bank account on this trip, maybe even go house-hunting.

Once your PR is activated you must live there 2 out of 5 years, so that potentially gives you a 2 year runway in which you can move for good.
