Travel Restriction while Spouse PR sponsor application in progress

Hello,

Are there any travel restrictions for traveling outside Canada when you sponsor your spouse for PR? MY spouse is initially coming to Canada on a Visitor visa. I am planning to travel around that time for 7-10 days out of Canada and I am starting the sponsorship PR application before I travel. My question is if there is any travel restriction between the application submission and the application decision(Approval).
Any insights would be really helpful.

I don’t think there are any restrictions on traveling. The only condition is that you must be living in Canada when you sponsor. Only Canadian citizens can sponsor from outside the country and even they have to show that they intend to live with the person they sponsor in Canada.

As long as it’s bonafide travel, i.e. not establishing residence outside Canada; you should be fine.

Does that mean I shouldnt travel outside for a month?
