Indian PCC San Fransisico

I submitted my original passport, associated fees and application form to Indian San Fran consulate for PCC on June 19th. San Fran. consulate, however, acknowledged the receipt of all the documents on June 29th. The timeline of Indian PCC in San Fran consulate is 1 month. I have to submit all the documents to IRCC before 9th of Sept - Am I cutting too close? Should I ask for my passports back and fly down to ATL or NY Indian consulate where I can get the PCC in one day?

Your guys response will be much appreciated! Thank you!

I need to get Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from Indian Embassy in San Francisco. The relevant link of PCC is: https://www.cgisf.gov.in/page/pcc-police-clearance-certificate/

Details from the website include:

  • For Indian passport holders, a non refundable fee of $25 (twenty five) + $2 Indian Community Welfare Fee (ICWF) w.e.f. Oct. 01, 2012.
  • Fees should be paid through Money order or Cashiers’ cheque drawn in favor of the ‘ Consulate General of India, San Francisco’. NO BLANK CHECK/MONEY ORDER WILL BE ACCEPTED BY THE CONSULATE. Cash, Personal Cheques, Credit Cards, Debit Cards or other banking instruments are not accepted.

So it seems like they need TWO cashier checks: $25 and $2. My question is about the second $2 check. Should that one be drawn to ‘Consulate General of India, San Francisco’ or to ’ Indian Community Welfare Fee (ICWF) '???

I don’t remember I submitted two cashiers check. I submitted one for USD27

You need only 1 check for 27$ in the name of Consulate General of India, San Francisco. I just submitted my PCC application at SF Consulate this morning. They accepted it.
