When should I migrate to Canada?

Hi,

I completed my masters in Business Analytics and am currently on OPT in Arizona. I did my undergraduate in the US as well in Management Information System and I have one and a half year of work experience in Analytics. I am having a hard time finding a job here partly due to the lack of my experience and am seriously thinking about moving to Canada. I spoke with an immigration attorney and they estimated by CRS score to be 444 and said if I apply now, there is a high chance of me getting my permanent residency.
My current thought is to gain a couple of years experience here in the US and then move to Canada when my OPT expires, so I won’t face the same problem of not having experience in Canada.
When would you recommend me to move to Canada and what would be the best way to go about it.
Are there any new grads who are in the same status as me.

Best,
Chandra.

You don’t need an attorney for PR process. Also, with your score you’re just barely clearing present cutoff. If you have already given your IELTS and acquired the ECAs now is the time to apply. If not, increase experience and score more points. Cutoff may dip, stay same or increase, it’s hard to predict. After you get PR you can live outside Canada for 3 years before you have to move there or risk losing PR.
