I applied as FSW-Outland from USA with two dependents (spouse & daughter).
Below is our timeline :
AOR: 07.12.2018
MEP: 16.01.2019
It has been more than 5 months from MEP and showing “We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information”. Applied GCMS in May and found nothing unusual, called them 5 times and got same message " we are processing your application, its in Sydney, NovaScotia" Applied webform & GCMSSecond time again in June and waiting for it.
I have shown funds in my wife’s bank in India.
Do you see this as normal or anything I can do from my end to speed up ?
It seems pretty normal. Any progress past the 6 months timeline is not unusual. Infact in our case there were no updates after the MEP and 7 months after MEP (8 months after AOR), we got the PPR email. I suggest you keep ordering the GCMS notes every month and look for anything unusual and act if there is anything unusual. Good luck.
Dear all,
My background check just reverted back to Your application is in progress from We are processing your background check, my status since the second day after my medical pass.
Can we thus conclude that I am now in IP2 or what?
Are some PR applications processed from the beginning to the end in the CIO Sydney office?
This is the same situation I’m in right now. They keep saying everything is ok with my file, nothing jumps out as a concern for additional review. My guess is, there is a senior officer who needs to “ok” our application, and s/he is either on vacation, lazy or just nonchalant, allowing it to stack up. I think 8 months is the new 6 month.
This are just status updates and won’t reveal much useful. It basically means you have passed your Medicals and you are now probably in IP1 stage. But go through the Notes section towards the end of your GCMS notes and read if there are any critical remarks.
There is no telling how much time it will take. For some it is less than 6 months and for some more than a year. Once you complete the 6 month mark, try ordering GCMS notes.
I followed this thread over the last 7 months and this is perhaps the only thing that kept me positive during the almost endless wait.
We received our PPR Email and I would like to share the timeline.
I applied as FSW-Outland with one dependent (my spouse).
Below is our timeline from AOR to PPR:
AOR: 14th November 2018
MEP: 14th December 2018
IP1: 15th December 2018
PPR: 27th June 2019
We applied for GCMS notes when we completed 6 months on 14th May 2019. We received the notes by end April and they were pretty self explanatory. Since there was still no update we again applied for GCMS and CBSA notes on 26th June 2019. We got the email on 28th June (India time 2:00am)
Our application never moved for IP1 to IP2, but directly from IP1 to PPR.
Total time taken from AOR to PPR: 7.5 Months
We have now submitted our passports and waiting for the visas and COPR.
Wishing everyone luck with their applications.
My aor is Nov 26th…called agent eligibility is met but security and criminality not started…everything ok in gcms notes received on 27 June…wat should I do next…not sure wats going on nd why my file is not picked up yet…raised webform nd send reminder but nothing worked gottheimer same grneric response everytime…
If you don’t see any issue with your GCMS notes, they are probably just taking their own sweet time. If you don’t see any updates this month, I’d recommend applying for CBSA notes. All the best!
Just wanted to ask your opinion on where my application stands at the moment coz ircc says that criminality check is ongoing, security hasn’t started, and Eligibility requires additional review.
Do i Have to worry a lot or is it just the wait game by ircc
An update regarding the Visa and COPR. We received our visas stamped on our passports along with the COPR today which is exactly 2 weeks after we submitted the passports.
I have a quick question. My Medicals were done on the 16th Oct 2018. But my visa and COPR has an expiry date of 22nd Oct 2019 which is about a week past the one year expiry date of my Medicals. Kindly assist. Thank you.
Guys, I received my AOR on 27th January, 2019. Currently, my application is 21 days away from the 6 month estimate…
